1. In BLUE, when Junior Bledsoe sticks by Ann Fay's family even though he could get polio from them, Ann Fay says,
"I hadn’t really thought of it before but I figured out right then and there what is the definition of a true friend—someone who knows you might be dangerous to be around and they stick by you anyway."
2. I'm struck by how similar this is to this quote from a BLUE related scrapbook made by a student at Graham Elementary School.
