If you're going to drop your camera in the creek, at least you should slip in the very creek where you waded as a child. It almost makes the loss of the camera worth it!
But if you're lucky, you'll have siblings nearby who will tell you what to do.
1. Remove the battery.
2. Place the camera and battery into a zipper baggie with uncooked rice.
3. Wait for the rice to absorb the moisture that's in your camera.
4. After 24 hours, remove camera to see if it works. (At this point, the camera does function but the picture looks like this.)
5. Put camera back in baggie and wait another 24 hours.
6. Try again.
Voila! God's in His Heaven. All's right with the world!
