READING DILEMMAS

My book club meets on Monday evening. I am supposed to read March by Geraldine Brooks before then. But I'm in the middle of Wild Things by Clay Carmichael. And I like Wild Things and want to read that.

I haven't been a good book club member lately. Sometimes I think I should just drop out. But I'm committed to the club because its focus is on diversity. And I think that's important.

And besides, if it weren't for that club I might never read any adult fiction!

FUN STUFF

I got an email yesterday from another writer who attended a workshop with me a few years ago. She just read BLUE and is using it in her adult book club! Quite a few adult groups seem to be using it. (Makes me so happy!) Last week I was the guest at a book club that’s 100 years old. Was thrilled to sit next to a lovely lady who’d been a member for 50 years. Wow! That's commitment!
