My book Blue is not on audio and, as far as I know, there's none in the works. I'm not sure why because I've given some actress the perfect opportunity to use her southern accent!
But I am encouraged by an email I received this week from Deb who lives in England. In the course of our conversation, I discovered that Deb does not have a copy of Blue in hand but she does have a good literary minded friend in the US who read the whole thing to her over the phone!
As she said, she has a really good phone package.
But still, I am quite blown away by the image of two people with phones to their ears - one reading Blue and one listening. And both crying. Or laughing as the case may be...
This story makes me want to do both.
This is one of the coolest stories I have heard yet about BLUE!!!! I can just picture the scene of "phone story hour".....today, tomorrow........ to be continued.
ReplyDeleteI know, Jeannie. Isn't that amazing! Apparently they read books over the phone alot. She usually reads to him but this time he had Blue and she didn't so he did the reading. What a great friendship, huh?

ReplyDeleteNever read books over the phone but a friend and I used to have "quote books" and would read quotes to each other over the phone.
